Real wood wang?
All these screens make me think of the gillette "fuck it we're going five blades"

My parents had the OG Grand Wagoneer back in the day and I remember it being huge. I saw one on the road the other day, while in my old Golf, and wow, it seemed tiny. Looking forward to them bringing it back.

We didn’t put wood on the outside, because we want people to think there is wood on the inside.

It’s going to be called the Grand Wangoneer?

I’d cross shop it if my wife totalled her XC90.

The design I mean.

Interiors are getting good, it’s do or die.

That’s a really nice interior , but the screen overkill is getting to be a bit much. What’s wrong with one big screen and physical climate controls??

too many screens man, imagine driving at night

If it doesn’t have a good dimming function that would absolutely be a dealbreaker

Jeep wouldn’t dare do what they did in my Cherokee (and other current FCA products) . Full brightness of the display during the day, but if it rains/gets a bit cloudy and the headlights come on the cluster and radio screen either stay at full brightness (which is fine..) or the next setting down on the dimmer is way too.... dim.
BUT, if you set it to full bright its REALLY F-ING BRIGHT at night, and one click down is perfect. But then you can’t see them the next time the lights come on during the day.
I’ve never had a car before that I had to play with the dimmer switch so much in.

We’re almost 40k in, she loves it. Pilot Assist 2 is great, the seats are some of the best I’ve sat in and the little stuff that you don’t “need” is nice. AKA Built in sun shades for the 2nd row, HVAC for the 3rd row (which you’d think would exist on all 3 row vehicles but does not) etc.
The $4k stereo is great, not sure it’s 4k worth tbh but then again we’re playing a lot of lossy AF satellite radio and a little bit of high bitrate stuff from plex .
Android auto is borderline useless. This is probably Android and Plex’s fault more than Volvo’s. We are Pixel device users so no excuses imho.
The heated/cooled/massaging seats are fantastic.
The 21 inch wheels of course are too damn big in my opinion. I’m ordering 18's with snow tires for this winter.
The dealership experience so far has been phenomenal .
Not everything is as intuitive as it could be, took me a couple weeks to realize you had to turn the automatic wipers and high beams on every time you expected them to do something automatically. (seems, odd.) I want it to go into 360 camera mode when I put it in reverse but I can’t set that preference.
We towed a few things, the air suspension came in handy.
It’s not fast, even in polestar mode, though it will get out of its way at least, I don’t feel the 2.0 is sorely lacking, just, not made to be fun at parties.
Trans is a little hit and miss for me. 3/4 of the time you don’t notice anything at all, the other 1/4 I feel like I’m driving the first GM 6 speeds in a tahoe and it’s not quite sure what you want or what gear it should be in. Wife says it’s completely fine to her so I guess maybe I just drive poorly.
Dealer replaced the rotors and pads under warranty for pulsating at 20k, not a good sign IMHO but at least we got one set free.
I think the emergency braking is a little too sensitive. I’ve set it off 3-4 times now and I didnt’ think it was warranted any of those times.

Awesome! I’m glad to hear. My cousin has an XC90 as well and loves hers. Drove it a few times and based on that my parents leased a 2019 XC60 around a year ago. Solid car inside and out and yes the emergency system is a bit too sensitive.
IMO they both are nicer and better than the majority of their competition.
